In this episode, Rich has a conversation with Dr. Hina Joshi. Hina Joshi is a certified health and wellness coach from the Institute of Functional medicine.
Her path to becoming a health and wellness coach began many years ago when she began working with people suffering from chronic pain. Dr. Joshi observed that many individuals with chronic pain were identified and treated for their symptoms. No one comprehended the other aspects of their life influencing their pain levels. This was when she began investigating the fundamental cause of chronic pain, leading her to functional medicine. Her son's diagnosis of ADHD was another factor that drew her to functional medicine. Dr. Joshi has always understood that food is a sort of medicine, but she did not know how to use it to treat her son. She was confident that she needed to investigate. She realized that pursuing a profession in functional medicine would help her uncover the answers and enable her to assist both her son and her patients.
